Mobile Dental Services

Nevada Health Centers Mobile Dental Services is operating in northeastern Nevada, thanks in part to the Elko County ARPA grant. Thanks to this grant, all Elko County second graders have the opportunity to receive a screening and sealants at no cost.

Dental sealants are thin plastic coatings that fill in the deep grooves on the chewing part of the tooth. They are easy and painless and will help children as they grow, protecting them from decay and cavities. By bringing dental services directly to schools, the program eliminates barriers to access and ensures that all children have the opportunity to receive quality oral healthcare. This program is aimed at second graders because it’s an important age of dental development.

The introduction of Mobile Dental Services is a significant step forward in expanding access to dental care, particularly in underserved areas in rural Nevada.
